Dr. Marni Farahi was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (Go Gators!). She then moved to Philadelphia and went on to receive her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated at the top of her class as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society. Dr. Farahi completed a residency in Orthodontics at Temple University Kornberg School of Dental Medicine, earning her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master’s of Science in Oral Biology. Her Master’s thesis examined the stability of orthodontic mini-screws inserted at different angulations.
Dr. Farahi was first introduced to BRAYCES at Temple, where Dr. Bray serves as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Postdoctoral Program in Orthodontics. Dr. Farahi worked under Dr. Bray’s instruction, and after seeing her excel as a top resident in the program, he offered her the opportunity to shadow and work at BRAYCES, ultimately offering her a position as an associate orthodontist.
Dr. Farahi was recently married to Dr. Ariel Farahi, an Oral and Maxillofacial surgery resident at the University of Pennsylvania. During his residency, he will earn his Medical Degree and complete specialized training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The two met as classmates during their first year of dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, and live in Philadelphia with their Italian greyhound, Tano.
Dr. Farahi feels privileged to be part of a profession that helps build confidence and beautiful smiles for patients. She is very excited to join BRAYCES and get to know the wonderful surrounding communities. In her free time, Dr. Farahi enjoys spending time with loved ones, hiking, exploring new restaurants, and traveling.
